Trainer Knowledge and Competency Framework translation project

The TARSS Program is in the process of completing translations for the Knowledge and Competency Frameworks for trainers and RBPD specialists. At this time, we are seeking reviewers for our translations of the Trainer Knowledge and Competency Framework.

Are you an early education professional who is bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish or English and Somali? Apply to be a reviewer!

Participation in this project includes:

  1. Reading a section of the document and suggesting changes that need to be made
  2. Attending an in-person working session with other reviewers on August 12th from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Applications are due on July 15th. Applicants will receive a reply no later than July 22nd. Each reviewer will earn $300 for this project.

The TARSS team is currently seeking applicants for two open positions.

Bilingual Community Mentor

We are seeking individuals who are fluent in English and either Hmong, Somali, or Spanish. This position is an integral part of the TARSS team, helping to develop culturally-aware and culturally-responsive professional development opportunities and materials that meet the diverse needs of child care professionals throughout Minnesota. The Bilingual Community Mentor will provide customer service to trainers and RBPD specialists throughout the state via phone, email, and in-person events. The position will also include supporting trainers in the field through the TARSS mentoring process.

Training Specialist

This 75% FTE position is an integral part of the TARSS team, helping to develop culturally-aware and culturally-responsive professional development opportunities and materials that meet the diverse needs of child care professionals throughout Minnesota. The Training Specialist will provide customer service to trainers and RBPD specialists throughout the state via phone, email, and in-person events. This role will also include supporting trainers in the field through training and mentoring.
