The Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP 2015) is an all-inclusive assessment tool that measures a child’s development across time. It is a Parent Aware-recognized tool used with children from birth to kindergarten. It can be used with children with disabilities and English language learners. DRDP assessments are completed twice yearly. The tool covers all areas of development: language, cognitive, motor, and social and emotional development.

In this course, you’ll learn about the purpose of DRDP and how to use it. Group activities will provide opportunities to familiarize yourself with the tool, practice using documentation to assess development, and show inter-rater reliability. This course is delivered in two 3-hour sessions and includes one hour of homework. You must attend both sessions to complete the course. It is sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families, and it is free for programs that participate in Parent Aware or KEP.
