TOT: Training of Trainers (TOT): DCYF Curriculum Courses

Who should sign up: trainers who meet the Trainer Criteria 

Please note: Curriculum courses have expired. Trainers who were previously approved to train on the expired Curriculum courses will need to apply for and be accepted into this TOT.

Upon successful completion of this TOT, you will be approved to train the following in-person courses:

  • Early Childhood Curriculum: From Planning to Practice
  • Creating Meaningful Curriculum in Early Childhood Classrooms
  • Creating Meaningful Curriculum in Family Child Care Programs

The TOT is six hours in length, including two live video sessions on Zoom, a training segment delivery, and a reflection. Please review the Trainer Criteria carefully.

Applications will open Friday, August 28, 2026, and close Friday, September 11, 2026 at 5 p.m. CT. Late applications will not be reviewed.

Important information

  • You are expected to be very familiar with the course materials before the live sessions. Please bring your delivery questions to the live sessions.
  • Applications will be reviewed by September 17, 2026. Applicants will be notified, either way, between September 18 through 29.
  • TOT runs October 2 through 9, 2026. Live video sessions are scheduled for Monday, October 5, from 6 to 8:50 p.m. CT; and Wednesday, October 7, from 6 to 8:40 p.m. CT. You must attend and participate in both of the live video sessions with your camera on and mic available to complete the TOT.
