Tip sheet: screening, assesssment, and evaluation in early learning

Early childhood professionals are often responsible for monitoring how children are growing and learning. Screening, assessment, and evaluation are different activities that can be part of that process. These three terms can be confusing and easy to mix up. But screening, assessment, and evaluation are important parts of early childhood education. Our latest tip sheet is called Introducing It: Screening, Assessment, and Evaluation in Early Learning. It defines these three terms and explains why these activities are important.
